B2B sales rep assignment and attribution

Scopo quick-start guide

Connect your Shopify B2B sales team, assign account ownership, and begin attributing new orders and draft orders to the right representative.

Preparation

Before you start

  • Your store should use Shopify B2B Companies and Company Locations.

  • Each sales rep needs a Shopify staff account and must open Scopo once before appearing in the rep picker.

  • The store account owner controls rep assignments. Staff users can view attribution on orders and draft orders.

End-to-end setup

Quick setup

  1. 01

    Connect the team

Ask each sales rep to open Scopo once from Shopify Admin. This connects their staff profile to the app.

  2. 02

    Assign a company rep

Go to Customers → Companies, open a company, add and pin the “Scopo: Rep assignment” block, then choose the account rep.

  3. 03

    Add location overrides when needed

Open an individual Company Location and assign a primary rep when that location should be owned by someone other than the company default.

  4. 04

    Show attribution on sales records

On an Order or Draft Order page, add and pin the “Scopo: Sales Attribution” block to see the rep, attribution source, and attribution date.

  5. 05

    Verify with a new order

Create a new order or draft order for an assigned B2B account and confirm it appears under the expected rep.

After launch

Daily use

For sales reps

Use the Rep Dashboard to review assigned accounts, open drafts, recent activity, orders, outstanding value, and collected revenue.

For store owners

Use Admin Overview to compare rep activity, attributed orders, revenue, and the open-draft pipeline.

For account changes

Change the rep from the Company or Company Location block before future orders are created.

Before you launch

Important notes

  • Location-level ownership takes priority over the company default. When neither exists, Scopo can use the draft creator when that person is a connected rep.
  • Attribution applies to new orders and draft orders after assignment. Existing historical records are not automatically backfilled.
  • Once a record has been attributed, later ownership changes do not rewrite that historical attribution.

Common fixes

Troubleshooting

A rep is missing from the picker.

Ask that person to open Scopo once with their Shopify staff account, then reload the Company or Company Location page.

The Scopo block is not visible.

Use the page’s app-block controls to add and pin “Scopo: Rep assignment” or “Scopo: Sales Attribution”.

A new order has no attributed rep.

Confirm the Company or Company Location was assigned before the order was created and that the assigned rep has connected to Scopo.
