Preparation
Before you start
Prepare the ZIP, postal-code, or pincode list you want to allow or block.
Decide whether the validator should provide information only or also block add to cart for unsupported locations.
For product-specific behavior, identify the products or collections that need their own rule.
End-to-end setup
Quick setup
- 01
Choose the app mode
In Main Settings, use Information only for delivery messaging or Restrict + Information to block add to cart when a location is unsupported.
- 02
Create a rule
Name the rule, apply it to all products or selected products and collections, then choose whether its postal codes are an allow list or block list.
- 03
Add postal codes
Enter comma-separated values or upload a CSV. A trailing wildcard can match a range, such as 600* or SW1V*.
- 04
Add delivery messages
Optionally configure a delivery ETA, COD, returns, or custom message. Feature availability depends on your plan.
- 05
Choose the storefront design
In Design Settings, select Popup or Embedded Form, customize the wording and colors, and place the embedded form above or below add to cart.
- 06
Activate and test
Enable the Zipprover app embed in the published theme, save the theme, then test at least one allowed and one unsupported code on a product page.
After launch
Daily use
Maintain service areas
Edit the codes inside a rule or import an updated CSV. You do not need to recreate the rule.
Use specific rules carefully
Specific-product rules take priority over collection rules, which take priority over an all-products rule.
Review unmet demand
When waitlist capture is enabled, use the Waitlist area to review shoppers requesting service in unsupported locations.

Important notes
- Zipprover prevents unsupported purchases by controlling add to cart on the storefront. It does not hide or modify Shopify shipping methods at checkout.
- Product, collection, waitlist, calculated ETA, and restriction features vary by plan. Plan availability is shown on the Shopify App Store listing.
- Custom themes, cart apps, or unusual product forms can require a placement adjustment from support.
Common fixes
Troubleshooting
The validator is not visible.
Confirm the app embed is enabled in the published theme, the rule is enabled, the current product is included, and postal codes were saved.
A newly added code is still unavailable.
Open the matching rule, confirm allow/block mode and rule priority, save again, then retest the storefront in a fresh browser session.
The widget is in the wrong position.
Use Embedded Form placement for above or below add to cart. For a custom selector or non-standard product form, contact support with the theme name and desired position.
Add to cart behaves unexpectedly.
Test with other cart, bundle, or product-option apps temporarily disabled. Send support the product URL and exact steps if the conflict remains.
Still stuck?
Send us the exact storefront context.
Include the app name, your `.myshopify.com` URL, theme name, affected page, and the steps needed to reproduce the issue.
